Who Juan Rulfo was
He published two books — "The Burning Plain" and "Pedro Páramo" — and never published fiction again in thirty years. It was enough: García Márquez said he reread "Pedro Páramo" until he knew it by heart, and that it was what unblocked "One Hundred Years of Solitude".
He was a tyre salesman and worked at the National Indigenist Institute. His photographic work — more than six thousand negatives of rural Mexico — became known much later.
No documented birth time exists for this person. Without a time there are no houses, no Ascendant, no Midheaven, and the wheel is not oriented: what you see are the positions by sign, which are correct, and nothing else. An incomplete chart beats an invented Ascendant.
