Who Marc Edmund Jones was
A silent-film screenwriter and later a Presbyterian minister with a doctorate in philosophy, he wrote on astrology for sixty years.
In 1925, in a San Diego park, he and the medium Elsie Wheeler produced the three hundred and sixty "Sabian symbols", one image for each degree of the zodiac. He also defined the seven planetary patterns — the bowl, the bucket, the locomotive — by which the shape of a whole chart is read at a glance.
No documented birth time exists for this person. Without a time there are no houses, no Ascendant, no Midheaven, and the wheel is not oriented: what you see are the positions by sign, which are correct, and nothing else. An incomplete chart beats an invented Ascendant.
