Who Nostradamus was
Michel de Nostredame was an apothecary and plague doctor before a prophet, and lost his first wife and two children to an epidemic he could not stop.
The "Prophecies" (1555) are almost a thousand quatrains in deliberately obscure French, mixed with Provençal, Latin and anagrams. Catherine de' Medici called him to court and made him a counsellor. His birth date is recorded by his own hand in his almanacs.
No documented birth time exists for this person. Without a time there are no houses, no Ascendant, no Midheaven, and the wheel is not oriented: what you see are the positions by sign, which are correct, and nothing else. An incomplete chart beats an invented Ascendant.
