Who Nina Simone was
Eunice Waymon wanted to be the first Black classical concert pianist in the United States. The Curtis Institute rejected her, and she always held it was because of her race. She began singing in an Atlantic City bar because the owner required it before he would let her play.
Her repertoire mixes Bach, jazz, gospel and French chanson. "Mississippi Goddam" (1964), written in an hour after the Birmingham bombing, placed her at the centre of the civil rights movement and cost her much of her commercial career.
No documented birth time exists for this person. Without a time there are no houses, no Ascendant, no Midheaven, and the wheel is not oriented: what you see are the positions by sign, which are correct, and nothing else. An incomplete chart beats an invented Ascendant.
