Who Paramahansa Yogananda was
He arrived in the United States in 1920 and spent thirty years teaching kriya yoga in a country that barely knew what yoga was.
"Autobiography of a Yogi" (1946) is the book that introduced Indian meditation to a wide Western public; Steve Jobs reread it every year and had it handed out at his funeral. He founded the Self-Realization Fellowship, still active today.
